SPS Corals

SPS corals, or Small Polyp Stony corals, are a captivating subset of the coral world known for their intricate skeletal structures and vibrant colors. These corals belong to the family Scleractinia and create the foundation of thriving coral reefs. SPS corals feature small polyps and fast growth rates, forming elaborate branching, plating, and encrusting formations.

Their striking pigmentation results from a symbiotic relationship with photosynthetic algae called zooxanthellae.
